Today marks my first Valentine’s Day as a wife and putting all the hallmark festivities aside, I’ve taken time to remember how blessed I am to have such an amazing hubby, family and girlfriends. Through the ups and downs, I’m so glad that I’m surrounded by lovely people who make up the different facets of my life and that I can always find someone to laugh with, someone to cry with, and someone to confide in. I remember a quote that goes along the lines of, “Our greatest achievement is to be truly known and still be truly loved“. So on this Valentine’s Day, lets aim to truly know others and to still love them just as we would want to truly be known and still be loved – flaws and all!

The assignments, tests & presentations have decided to cram themselves into the last single week of this half of the term and boy oh boy am I going crazy. My mind feels like it’s being split into a thousand and one different facets and all I want to do is buy an airplane ticket, fly away to a tropical island and lounge around here:

Peace out.

When life throws you around, sometimes there’s only one thing you can do…

The days have been filled with distractions and doing five papers this semester is no joke! I’ve come to conclude that I literally have NO free time till November and anything that comes under the category of “social life” has to be pre-planned and written down in the diary.

Have you guys ever come to the point where when making arrangements with others, you actually have to pause and ask yourself, “Should I jot this down in PEN  or PENCIL?!?!?”

I long for the days where I can wake up with absolutely nothing planned and then carry out my day based on carefree whims.

Pretty pretty pastel ice cream sandwiches!

Such an ingenious idea with the hundreds and thousands & the cookies look like ginger biscuits to me. One of my favourite colours is turquoise so if i found a tub of it i’m sure it would be gone in a blink of an eye : )

No matter how down I’m feeling, looking and making pretty things seem to always cheer me up. Even if just for a moment of escapism and a glimpse of  how the little things bring joy to people’s lives. If someone around you is feeling down and dreary, I encourage you to think of something creative and simple that will bring a smile to their faces : )

Little things go a long way.

It doesn’t cost a lot to touch the lives of those around you.
